3 Day Hunter Region - Sample Itinerary

Day 1

7.00am Depart School.
10.30am Nobbies Beach Walk Newcastle’s highest profile beach and a favoured swimming spot for family groups and those learning to surf. It’s also gaining popularity among kite surfers whose aerial acrobatics are adding colour and movement to the city seascape. A walk along nearby Macquarie’s Pier features the Harbour Break-wall and Nobby’s Lighthouse.
1.30pm Lunch – students to supply own packed lunch
3.00pm Mount Pleasant Estate – McWilliam’s
A visit to Mount Pleasant is a wonderful experience on many levels. The natural beauty of the location is framed by the backdrop of the stunning Brokenback Range and the scenery would have changed very little from the time of Maurice O’Shea.

In recognition of our outstanding customer service, Mount Pleasant was recently named the Hunter Valley’s ‘Best Large Cellar Door’ in the 2014 Gourmet Traveller Wines’ Australia’s Best Cellar Door Awards as well as receiving a 2013 Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.
5.00pm Arrive at accommodation - Potters Hotel Hunter Valley
6.00pm Dinner
7.30pm Evening activity at function room – Movie Night

Day 2

7.00am Breakfast.
8.00am Depart accommodation.
9.30am Tree Top Adventure Park
Like Tarzan deep in the jungle they can slide down flying foxes, move from tree to tree on suspension bridges and jump from liana up to 20m above the forest floor. Theses eco-friendly adventure activities are great for the body and mind and gentle on the environment.

Lunch – supplied by accommodation centre
3.00pm Hunter Valley Gardens
Nestled at the foothills of the Brokenback Ranges, in the heart of the Hunter vineyards, you will find the magnificent Hunter Valley Gardens - over 60 acres of spectacular international display gardens that will amaze you with sensational sights, colours, fragrances and adventures.
Exploring over 8 kilometres of walking paths, visitors are able to experience each of the ten individual feature gardens with a range of statuary and superb feature gardens, all of a standard you won’t see elsewhere in Australia.
One visit simply won’t be enough to take in all there is to see and do at Hunter Valley Gardens!
5.30pm Arrive at accommodation
6.30pm Dinner.
7.30pm Evening activity at function room – Movie Night (bring own movies)

Day 3

6.30am Breakfast.
7.45am Load luggage onto coach.
8.00am Depart accommodation.
10.15am Moonshadow Cruises
Dolphine watching cruise including boomnet rides, water slide & underwater cameras and delicious buffet lunch.

Buffet Lunch – supplied by Cruise
12.45pm Depart for school.
4.00pm Approximate arrival to school.
